Movement Archery is a movement practice founded by Tom Weksler and developed pedagogically together with Roser Tutusaus. It brings together technique, creativity and physical research, drawing from contemporary dance, martial arts, soft acrobatics, improvisation and meditation.
Rather than teaching a fixed movement vocabulary, the practice works through principles that connect these different fields. A central question is how movement can become both a way of perceiving the world around us and a way of expressing our internal world.
The aim is not only to learn more movement, but to become freer within the act of moving: to express what is present while continuing to develop what is not yet there.
Movement Archery has been taught internationally for more than a decade in professional dance companies, dance schools and universities, circus academies, martial arts schools, theatre programmes, festivals and independent movement communities.
