RISE

A wild brushstroke of calligraphy in public space

It transforms an everyday urban space into a meeting place, where initial distance turns into intimacy.

Movement, acrobatics, and interactions with the audience make the performance unfold in real time, creating an experience that reflects, in its most primal form, on the authenticity in human relationships, personal transformation, and collective connection.

RISE does not seek definitive answers, but rather focuses on the movement that emerges from questioning, opening new perspectives. To question oneself is a profoundly existential act that also evokes the innocent curiosity of childhood. Physically, RISE explores the collision and encounter of different physical languages, reflecting the diverse artistic backgrounds of Tom and Roser. Butoh, Contemporary Dance, Acrobatics, Capoeira, and Partnering are removed from their original contexts and recontextualized to express current expressive needs. This creates a movement that, far from being merely technical, encourages the emergence of a sincere and meaningful gesture.

Inspired by the cold, urban, futuristic aesthetic of The Matrix and the primal sensitivity of cave art, RISE is both a physical and poetic experience, where transformation, or regression, becomes the driving force of everything.
